Travis Porter concert ends in violence; Our culture of violence

Atlanta rap group Travis Porter performance ended in violence Saturday after fights led to several being arrested and a head injury.

The group consisting of members Strap, Quez, Ali performed at a in Albany, Georgia at a block party sponsored by SOWEGA Tax Services.

The group performed a three song set at a nearby amphitheater when violence erupted.

According to a Police spokeswoman there were incidents of violence at three different locations including the city's Turtle Park, Ray Charles Plaza and Oglethorpe Boulevard and Front Street.

Spokeswoman Phyllis Banks reported the information to the The Albany Herald saying that several dozens gathered as a fight broke out about 6:40 p.m. at the city's Turtle Park as the concert was ending.

One female suffered a head injury and several people were arrested by the Albany Police Department.
This is not the first time a Travis Porter concert has ended in violence.  There have been several incidents in Texas and in Georgia that have ended in violence.

We live in a culture of violence that needs to be addressed.  A lot of us do not know how to handle or address issues properly, and it often becomes misplaced.  Learning how to address your emotions properly and maturely can lead to greater success in the long run individually.
