'Clueless' Star Stacy Dash Alleges abuse in marriage; Beating Domestic Violence

According to TMZ 'Clueless' star Stacy Dash has filed divorce papers alleging abuse by her husband in their two-year relationship. She has also been granted a restraining order against him that was signed by a judge.

The restraining order was signed by a judge in January and remains in effect -- Dash states in the document that Emmanuel Xuereb hit her in the face, head and body during their two-plus years of marriage.

Dash, 44, says her husband once violently pinned her down to a bed while intoxicated, threatening that it would be the worst night of her life. The actress claims she was too afraid to seek police intervention, and Xuereb is currently prohibited from any contact with Dash or her two children from a previous relationship. For the duration of the restraining order, he is required to stay 100 yards or more from Dash and her family.

Abuse by anybody is WRONG on all levels. There is NO excuse for it and if you are being abused, you need to get help. No spouse should allow themselves to put up with physical abuse and there are so many signs that will lead up to it. YOU are better than somebody who puts their hands on you and wants to hurt you. That ISN'T love. You have have the strength to get through it. If you have children, staying in an abusive relationship only sets a bad example for them in future relationship and creates a multitude of emotional and psychological issues that they will have to deal with. If you or anyone you know that IS being abused, call the police or 1.800.799.SAFE (7233)or visit www.ndvh.org for more details.
