Kelis wants divorce from Nas IMMEDIATELY! ; The troubles of elongating a relationship.

Kelis has filed papers with the court asking for a divorce as soon as possible.  The two have been in court since November.

According to documents filed last week, Kelis said in a declaration, "... it would be in the best interest of both of us if our marital status is terminated as soon as possible."

Because she fears that the legal proceedings could take years to figure out, Kelis has requested that the judge immediately terminate their marriage -- and wait until a later time to resolve "all other issues."

Kelis also stated that there would be no going back to Nas saying, "I believe there is no possibility of reconciliation with [Nas]."

Is it better to end something like this before it becomes to messy.  These two have been at it for quite sometime and we would love to see them sever all ties and cut their losses and move on.  These things can get quite costly over a long period of time (aka Britney Spears and Kevin Federline)  and it would be better if both sides came to an agreement and let it go.

Have you ever dragged something out that shouldn't have been?  Have you held on to a breakup that was supposed to end a long time ago?  Have you kept an ex around longer than you expected?  Sometimes we does this, not because we still love them, but because we are scared of the void it may create if we moved on.  We hold on to situations in our life fearing the future.  Let go and you may find that somebody or something even better is just around the corner.
