Jon has just filed papers asking a Pennsylvania judge for primary custody as well as a review of the child support order that is in place. Primary custody is currently Kate's, and Jon is required to pay $21,000 a month in child support. People.com
He claimed that Kate is an "absentee parent" because of her stint on Dancing With the Stars which films in LA.
This is getting really ugly all over again. The sad fact is that these two parents cannot come to a consensus about their kids because of their spiteful behavior. No divorce is good, but it is even sadder when parents drag it out for years and use their children as chess pieces.
Kate retaliated soon after, saying she's "a single working mom [who] will do everything necessary to provide for my kids despite the opinions of others
These two do need to get along for the sake of their children. The children did NOT ask to be apart of this, especially in the public eye.
If you are a single parent, have you acted out of spite instead of doing what is best for the kids. At time, we have to sit and think about our actions and what are the true motives and intentions behind it. We sometimes make excuses for things unknowingly to try and make the action seem more honorable when, in fact, it is not. What do you think?
