Barbra Walters to have Heart Surgery!!; The key to living a long life!

Barbra Walters told viewers of "The View" today that she is to have surgery to replace a heart valve later on this week according to ABC News.

Walters said she's known about her condition for a while and thought the time was right for the surgery because she can take the summer off and "can come roaring back in September."

She will have the surgery later this week and is expected to be out of action on "The View" for one to three months
. "You know how I always say to you how healthy I am," she said. "I've never missed a day's work. Later this week, I'm going to have surgery to replace one faulty heart valve. Lots of people have done this."

Walters added that she and her doctors decided to go through with the surgery now because she'll be able to take time off to recover during the summer. While she hasn't "felt differently" lately, an echocardiogram showed that her valves were "getting tighter and smaller," she said.

We wish her all these best and a speedy recovery afterwards.

Barbra is 80-years old and is still going strong.  She still does specials from time to time and works at The View.  For somebody of her age, that says a  lot about her will to live.  Just because you get older, does not mean your life has to stop.  The myth is that once you do get older, you get sick and miserable.  The truth is, however, you don't have to.  You're love for life shows when you get older.  If you do not love life, you will wither away, but if you have a passion for life, it can carry you until your last days on earth.  Find your passion for life and live a long and joyous life!
