ESPN sports anchor Erin Andrews death threats: What to do with stalkers?

ESPN anchor and 'Dancing With the Stars' contestant Erin Andrews has been receiving death threats according to TMZ. This comes 2 years after another stalker videotaped Andrews through a peephole. This stalker sent e-mails to a Conneticut-based sports program. He wrote:

"I would love to get close enough to her to show her my suicide vest," he wrote in one e-mail on March 14, celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported yesterday.

A few weeks later he wrote: "I hope she gets shot in the face.

"I would love to see if she can dance away from a hail of gunfire.

"That would really make my day."

This is scary and we have to always prepare for sick people out there like this. If you ever receive any threats like Erin Andrews, you have to report it to authorities immediately. According to the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC), about one in 12 women and one in 45 men are stalked sometime in their lifetimes. According to the Easterner, "Victims can receive help by contacting crisis hotlines, victim services agencies, domestic violence or rape crisis programs and the police. Documenting evidence of stalking behavior, such as times, dates, places, e-mails, phone messages, letters and notes, is also important."

Victims can call the NCVC helpline at 1-800-FYI-CALL, or visit ncvc.org for more information .
