Kate Gosslin has extended her fame with her stint on Dancing With the Stars. She made headlines last week by getting into an argument with her dance partner and choreographer and causing him to quit. There have been rumors of her being a diva behind the scenes.
Gosslin has been consistently accused of exploiting her children for money and being a neglectful mother. Furthermore, being on this show has not done anything but worsened those allegations due to the extreme dedication that is required to compete on the show.
Working mothers have had been having this debate for about a half of a century. Is there a difference between a regular mother working full-time to support her family while her children are young and what Kate Gosslin is doing, or does the fact that Kate Gosslin is famous make her an exception?
According to Custodial Mothers and Fathers and Their Child Support
79.5% of custodial single mothers are gainfully employed
49.8% work full time, year round
29.7% work part-time or part-year
Kate Gosslin is a part of this statistic or do you think her story is different. Does making money off her children make it wrong? You be the judge.
