Tiger and Jesse James Mistresses': Fame at any price?

Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard of the many mistresses speak out about their sexual exploits with the two married men. Just when you think everything is over with, more come out the woodwork. Tiger had an alleged 12-15 mistresses and Jessie James is up to five or six now. What is even worse is that these women are receiving all types of negative publicity and are taking advantage of their fifteen minutes of fame at the expense of the wives of the adulterers. The media's obsession with this is so bad that Vanity Fair has actually done a spread with some of Tiger's mistresses.

At what price would people go to for fame? Why would any respectable woman want to exploit themselves for negative attention? It is hard to see and I feel sorry for all these women involved. Why is the public allowing the media to feed into this attention? We know everybody loves a good scandal, but at what expense to the innocent involved and why give the perpetrators in this situation any more attention then what they deserve. We need to reassert our values in America when it comes to negativity and press.

Howard Stern vs Jamie Foxx

A few weeks ago, Howard Stern made some offensive comments about 'Precious' Star Gabourey Sidibe and her weight. Well, Jamie Foxx responded on his own radio station Foxhole and made jokes about Howard Stern, his staggering career, and his co-host Robin's former weight problem. Howard then responded that Jamie needs to be quiet or he will tell some things about him that he wouldn't like. If everybody didn't know, these two radio broadcasts are both under SIRUS radio station.

The racism issue comes into play here on both sides. Both Jamie Foxx and Howard Stern both had racism undertones in both there comments. Howard Stern said some things about Gabourey that could be taken as racist, and Jamie Foxx call Robin Quivers a 'House Niggerish.' Why must people use race as a means to demean somebody's character. This is for both sides. We are in 2010 and times are changing and so should are minds. It is ok to agree to disagree, but why must things get so negative when it comes to disagreements.

There is an obvious difference of opinion here. Everybody knows that celebrity beef can either be harmful or helpful to people's careers. So is this beef legit or is this for ratings? How come people can't just agree to disagree and leave it alone? Do you think Jamie Foxx will back down from what he said because of Howard Stern's threats?

Jesse James "The Bad Boy Complex"

Everybody knows about the Sandra Bullock and Jessie James story. It is on every tabloid and news channel and blog. Everybody has him plugged as a douche and rightfully so. I was watching "Real Time with Bill Maher" the other day and he brought up a good point. If you really think about it, does this surprise you considering his image as a 'bad boy?' Especially considering the women he decided to sleep with outside of his marriage.

Why do women always go after the 'bad boy' when there are plenty of good men out here? Sandra Bullock is America's sweetheart and can have any man she want to, yet she goes after the sleaziest man she can find. Every one of us knows a woman in their life who has terrible choice in men and ends up heartbroken every time. Is it time for women to stop looking for men they can tame and start looking for men whom are good for them and can provide long-term care and commitment.

Ricky Martin Out of the Closet

Ricky Martin has officially come out as being a homosexual in a letter on his website. In his website he says, "I Am A Fortunate Homosexual." Frankly, many who have followed Martin's career remember the interview he had with Barbra Walters back in 2000 where she basically outed him. She asked him was he a homosexual and his response was very ambigious and left much to the imagination. This interview, some say, began the decline of his career.

I have read some ignorant tweets since the news dropped. One in particular blamed Ricky Martin for collecting money from his female friends and lying to them about his sexuality at the same time.

Why does society make demand these men to reveal their sexuality? What somebody does with their personal life should stay personal. It's sad that we live in a time where peoples' personal lives are aligned with their professional life. You may not think it, but this is so similar to the stories of Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Chris Brown and any celebrity who's personal life became a lot bigger than their careers. Good music is good music regardless of who makes it. We should be smart enough to know how to seperate people's personal lives form their career, because at the end of the day, people have to eat just like me and you do. The tabloid culture that we live in is so set on digging up dirt on celebrity's lives that we forget the meaning of entertainment. It is an entertainment industry. They are here to entertain us, that is their craft.

Kat Stacks: From a deeper perspective.

Kat Stacks, who has came to recent fame on twitter and the blogs for putting celebrities such as Jae Millz, Nelly, and Bow Wow on blast, has been pretty much labeled as a "jump-off" gone wild. Many people on twitter have put her on blast for being what is called a groupie. I have visited her blog myself, and I found it quite sad actually.

There is also a deeper meaning to this though. Once you look down on her blog toward the bottom, you read some of her story. This girl has had a rough life. How many times have we seen women like Kat Stacks in our own lives? It might be your neighbor, a friend or a girl from school who uses sex to compensate for deeper issues within themselves. We are so quick to write these people of as whores or sexually deviant, but the bulk of their issues are a cry for help. Maybe calling them these things and feeding into the negative attention they crazy is more detrimental to the situation than it is helping it. Maybe we should stop passing judgement on these women and instead help them.

Welcome to My New Blog

THis will be my new blog. There are so many negative blogs out there regarding celebrity culture. I have decided to write a blog in that same stratosphere, but I want to discuss the deeper meaning behind these stories and what these stories say to us about our lives and why these stories intrigue us.
